About:

Marrianne is currently studying the Bachelor of Music at The Conservatorium of Music with Professor Alice Waten. Marrianne has previously completed a Bachelor of Science at The University of Melbourne alongside the Diploma in Music (Practical). Marrianne has performed in both intuitions’ Symphony Orchestra, String Orchestra, and chamber groups including piano trios, piano quartets, and string quartets. Marrianne is passionate about teaching and she has brought students through the AMEB exams and Suzuki books. Marrianne is pursuing a career as a chamber musician in addition to being a highly esteemed music and science teacher.

What’s the weirdest to calm your nerves?
“Not that weird amongst my friends, but I like to eat a banana. It actually works really well!

What are your earliest memories of music?
“I had my first music lesson on an electric piano.
My teacher showed me all the different instrument sounds it could make. It was so interesting and fun!

What’s your favourite song to belt out in the car?
“I have too many. Adele is fun to sing but also really hard! I love to sing along to musicals. Also some old songs too!”
