Alison is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Music and holds a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre. She has over 15years experience in the performance industry having performed in Theatre, Musical Theatre, Film and TV, as well as gigging around Sydney and Canberra. She is skilled in a variety of musical styles including jazz, classical, pop, folk and musical theatre, and during her time at AIM trained and performed with some of Australia’s top performers and industry professionals. She began her musical journey at age three and has since studied a variety of instruments including piano, violin, flute, and ukulele, but for the past 12years her focus has been vocal studies.
Alison has always had a passion for education and is currently studying for her Masters of Primary Teaching with a focus in music and performing arts education. She has over 5 years’ experience teaching piano and voice, and has spent the past 2 years teaching music in childcare centres across Sydney. She believes music is incredibly beneficial in building creativity, imagination and confidence thus she tailors lessons to suit each student’s individual talents and unique abilities.
